The LRC is rightly proud of its sporting heritage and the championship shooting facilities available at the Centre. The Centre is warm and dry with all activities taking place indoors.
As the home of the National Governing Body for small-bore shooting, visitors to the Lord Roberts Centre can expect the very best introduction to this exciting and challenging sport, with excellent facilities, expert tuition and modern equipment all housed in a safe, purpose built environment. Many major competitions are hosted at the LRC each year and you will be using state of the art equipment as used by the country’s top sports men and women... so come along soon and ‘Have a Go’...!
We cater for all ages and levels of shooting ability at the LRC, from total novice to national competitive standard. So if you are looking for ideas to celebrate a special event, a birthday (all ages..!), or if you would like to organise a company ‘team building activity’, consider the LRC a venue ‘with a difference’. Shooting truly is a sport for all. Visitors to the Centre do not need a firearms licence. They do not have to own a gun or wear special clothing! The Centre will provide everything at very modest rates. Once hooked it may well become ‘A Sport for Life...!’

Yes... it's a fact! Many top international shooters are women and it's never too late to learn! It’s not unusual for every member of a family to enjoy the sport of small-bore shooting from 10 metre air rifle and 6 yard air pistol to .22 sporting rifle with little or no recoil. You do not have to be physically strong or even particularly fit, so as long as you can safely handle a gun (and we will teach you..!) you can take up this popular sport which is one of the safest group participation activities on record!
So why not book a ‘Try a Shoot’ session, either individually or with a group of friends. You will be amazed at the results you achieve.
